BIHL TRUST SUPPORTS EDUCATION BY DONATING TO DELTA WATERS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

The BIHL Group, a leading financial services organisation, through its Trust continues to improve livelihoods supporting education and donating to Delta Waters International School in Maun. This donation is part of the BIHL Trust's commitment to the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OvC) programme, aimed at providing educational opportunities and support to children in need.

During a recent handover ceremony, the BIHL Trust team presented Delta Waters International School with a substantial donation of P150,000.00 for the second time. This contribution underscores the dedication of the BIHL Trust and its subsidiaries to making a positive impact in the communities they serve. The BIHL Trust, established by the Group, channels 1% of all annual profits after tax towards community and social impact initiatives, with a focus on education, public health, environmental conservation, and social upliftment.

Professor Rosaleen Nhlekisana, a board member of the BIHL Trust, expressed the motivation behind the donation, stating, "Our aim is to ensure that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have equal opportunities to pursue their education and realise their potential. Through access to quality education and academic experiences, these young minds can overcome obstacles and make their mark in the world. By supporting institutions like Delta Waters International School, we are investing in the future of these bright individuals and fostering a more inclusive society."

Delta Waters International School Principal, Mr. Pearce Khoza, expressed his gratitude for the donation on behalf of the orphans and vulnerable children. He emphasised the significant impact it will have on the students who come from financially challenged backgrounds. Mr. Khoza added, "We firmly believe that every student deserves the right to education, regardless of their financial circumstances. The donation from the BIHL Trust will enable our students to advance further in their academics and unlock their full potential. We are sincerely grateful for their support and commitment to our students' future."

The BIHL Trust's donation to Delta Waters International School is part of its ongoing efforts to extend assistance to schools catering to orphans and vulnerable children in the northern region of Botswana. The previous donations to Maru-a-Pula school have showcased the transformative power of education in empowering students, creating long lasting legacies and improving their livelihoods.
