NEO NDWAPI NAMED THE BIHL GROUP EXECUTIVE HEAD OF HUMAN CAPITAL AND CULTURE

The Botswana Insurance Holdings Limited (BIHL) Group continues to invest in attracting and growing strategic executive talent to steer the business. This is in line with an ambitious and determined strategy to drive the Group’s sustainable growth. Ms. Neo Ndwapi, who takes on the role of Head of Human Capital and Culture, is the latest key appointment, having joined the business in November 2022.

Ndwapi brings to the BIHL Group a wealth of strategic leadership experience spanning over 20 years across different industries as a seasoned Human Resources (HR) professional. She began her HR career at Standard Chartered Bank, where she worked in different roles in HR Administration, HR Service Delivery and HR Business Partnering. Prior to that, she delivered developmental work with the United Nations. Ndwapi joins the BIHL Group from Access Bank, where she worked as the Head of Human Capital, responsible for such areas as Recruitment and Selection, Talent Management, Performance Management and Learning and Development.

Ndwapi holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Demont Fort, a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Botswana, and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from Damelin Business School. She has also undertaken training programmes related to HR and leadership from the Gordon Institute of Business Science through the University of Pretoria.

Amongst the core focus areas for Ndwapi in her new role are talent development, performance management, nurturing culture strategy and ensuring that the human capital of the BIHL Group is as equipped and empowered as possible to contribute to driving the business’ strategy.
